Australia Unemployment December 2022

Employment fell by a seasonally adjusted 14,600 in December after including 58,300 jobs in November. The December consequence was pushed by a decline in part-time employment, which greater than offset a rise in full-time employment.

In the meantime, the seasonally adjusted December unemployment charge remained steady at 3.5% in November. As well as, the exercise charge remained steady at 66.7% in November, as did the seasonally adjusted underemployment charge, which was unchanged in December from 6.0% in November.

FocusEconomics panelists forecast the unemployment charge to common 4.0% in 2023, down 0.1 proportion level from final month’s estimate and 4.3% in 2024.
