Qatari first division membership Al Rayyan formally introduced the signing of Japanese defender Shogo Taniguchi on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old centre-back featured in two video games for Samurai Blue en path to the final 16 on the current World Cup in Qatar.
Taniguchi joined Kawasaki Frontale in 2014 from the College of Tsukuba and received 4 J. League titles with the membership he managed as of 2020.
